The sun descends in waves of colour; pastels of orange, pink and blue, like fresh colours brushed upon an artist's canvas. If those rays were destined to create a great work of art, it would be one so beautiful and apt in capturing simple moments of the soul. Sunsets are not only beautiful, they also have so much meaning. Watching the sunset is a spiritual experience of beauty, time and existence. Sunsets signify endings, as well as change, and transformation. They remind us that change is constant, a part of life and everything has an ending. The sunset tells us that the day is almost over. It reminds us how important time is and how we should make good use of it. It is also a good time for reflection. As the day comes to a close, ask yourself whether you have done everything which you set out to do since morning, or have you been the person you desired to be? Reflect upon yourself, and your actions. Embrace positive changes and make it part of your life. When the sun sets, time seemed to stop, there and then. While the sunrise brings hope for the new day, the sunset brings a sense of peace, that everything is going to be alright. Cherish every moment - it’s the simple things that often go overlooked.
“The strange thing about the sunset is that we actually don’t want the sun to set, we want it to stay right on the horizon, not below it, not above it, just right on it!” – Mehmet Murat ildan
